MBB

Marginal Budgeting for Bottlenecks Toolkit is an analytical tool for evidence-based health policy, planning, costing, and budgeting at country level. Teams from UNICEF, the World Bank, and the Ministries of health in several countries worked together to develop the tool. The teams developed the MBB tool in the context of Results-oriented Health Sector Reforms, the Highly Indebted Poor Countries Initiative, and the Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers to respond to requests from low-income countries to plan, cost, and budget additional allocations to health services and to assess their potential impacts on health coverage and Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)-related health outcomes of the poor.

Child Protection

The Inter-Agency CP Database is a desktop database application designed to support case management in child protection programmes. It facilitates information management, data analysis, and sharing and synchronization of information between child protection agencies. The application has been designed in collaboration with UNICEF, Save the Children (UK) and the International Rescue Committee.

The original demand for this system came from Family Tracing and reunification programs in emergencies. The system has also been used to facilitate case management in Release and Reintegration programs, programs supporting children with specific vulnerabilities in camp settings. An upgraded version of the IA CP IMS was rolled out in late 2009 with further enhancements in 2011. The new software and accompanying tools now have the ability to support any thematic area of child protection, including those supporting child protection systems building with governments. So far, the IA CP IMS has been used in 20 countries by a range of child protection actors, including national and international organizations and governments.
UN Women

The Reporting and Grants Management Database facilitate the workflow and approval processes associated with grantee communications, grantee reporting and maintain the transparency and accountability of the monitoring and reporting process. It allows to receive, review, analyze and track grantee programme results and store and analyze data from the all the grant applications.

It allows aggregating and analyzing grant applicant and grantee programme data and provide evidence-based assessments on the effectiveness of grantee programmes including approaches and lessons learned.
CRING

CRING Online is a web-based data management application intended to streamline data compilation and review at UNICEF Country, Regional and Headquarters levels. The application builds upon DevInfo database technology.
NeKSAPInfo

The Nepal Food Security Monitoring System (NeKSAP) collects, analyzes and presents information on household food security, emerging crises, markets and nutrition from across Nepal. The NeKSAP was initially established by the World Food Programme but is currently being institutionalized by the Government of Nepal in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and the National Planning Commission.
