In 2021, Community Systems Foundation /Avalon partnered with the International Labor Organizations to develop a website called the Fair Recruitment Knowledge hub. The objective of this Drupal based website was to strengthen the process of information sharing and dissemination.
We went through a collaborative design and prototyping process with the ILO team. The outcome was a website focused on knowledge management, containing pages like Thematic Focus, Resources, News, Events and FAQ. For a larger outreach, the site is multilingual. We used a sophisticated taxonomy to classify the content on the website to make them easily searchable through filters. The resource library contains hundreds of key documents in various languages that can be viewed online or downloaded.
To ensure dialogue and sharing of experiences and lessons learnt, a forum has also been developed for registered members. In fact, members can also register online and the administrator can approve their membership.
We also provided services like support and maintenance as well as hosting for a period of 12 months. This ensured a seamless implementation period, during which the ILO team was further capacitated on how to manage their website.
