Project ASMAN leverages multiple technology-based healthcare innovations to support safe health outcomes after childbirth and improve maternal and new-born health.The mobile/tablet based application has been developed with an aim to facilitate the availability of quality healthcare under the five pillars of the Government of India’s Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health Programme (RMNCH+A). Android-based labor monitoring tool to increase the clinical competency of health workers. ASMAN is an initiative for effectively driving the use of evidence- based best practices that reduces early maternal and newborn mortality by leveraging technology. This project is being piloted in four districts each of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, covering 42 and 39 facilities respectively. Jhpiego is the lead implementation agency.
